It's been a while since i've posted, but that's only because i've been busy.  I've just added a few new photos to the glamour gallery of Jeri Lee, Nikita Esco, and Sudana Pa, so definitely take the time to check them out.

I've got a lot more photos to finish (told you i've been busy), so if I don't post again for a while, you'll know why Cool.

The beginnings

I was browsing/sorting through my old photos, some of which were from the beginning when I started shooting models.  I thought it was interesting to see how my own style has evolved, and to even see some of the same elements that have stayed the same.

Here are a few of Natalia Marie, one of the first models I ever shot with.  I suppose these photos started me down the path i'm on now, so as they say, the rest is history.

More photos can be found in the Glamour gallery

Orbis Update

After using the Orbis ringflash for some time, I wanted to show a few photos that were taken with it.  You can see these photos below and also in the Glamour gallery.

Overall I would say the Orbis is a good tool to have in my arsenal, especially since it allows me to remain very mobile, as well as providing quick setup, both of which are very important to me.

Note: The ringflash was used "on-camera" for these shots, with one or two separate fill flashes placed off-camera.

Kimberly Ann x S2000

Check out my latest photo featuring Kimberly Ann and a clean white S2000.  This shoot was done as part of the IHM x Ginseng t-shirt collaberation, and will likely become a wallpaper.  The actual photo used for the shirt will be released soon, as will the actual t-shirt (it features the new Nissan Skyline GT-R).

posted in the Urban/Culture gallery as well

Just added a new photo to my Glamour Portfolio from a recent shoot I did with Jennifer Nguyen (for IHeartModels.com)

This is just one of the many updates i'll be making to my portfolio in the next few weeks, as i'm currently working on multiple photoshoots and projects right now.

Nightlife Photographer FAQ (from my perspective)

For the past four or some odd years I have been actively and heavily involved in the nightlife scene here in the Seattle area as a photographer.  I have worked at most of the mainstream clubs in Seattle, and along with a handful of my peer photographers, we have become somewhat of a staple in the local scene.

Occasionally I get together with some of the other photographers, and we talk about our work and the scene from our perspective, and one thing we've all noticed is that we get asked a lot of the same questions, so what I am going to do, just for fun, is to create an FAQ of some of the top, and most common questions I get asked.  The answers I provide our going to be solely my opinion only, as I can only speak for myself.

Now if you see me out in one of the clubs, and you feel like asking a question (even if it is on this list), please feel free to ask away, i'm generally a nice guy so I don't mind conversing with new people, it makes my job more fun.

Nightlife Photographer FAQ (in no particular order):

1. Do you want a drink, or can you drink on the job?

- Yes, although I am working, I am allowed to drink.  Remember this isn't the normal 9-5, so we have different rules and "no drinking on the job" does not apply here, or at least to me.  Plus if I drink a bit i've found I am a bit more outgoing (I'm normally an introvert) and can get some more pictures.  However if I refuse a drink, it isn't because I'm being rude, it is most likely because I have reached my self-imposed limit of drinks for the night and I don't want to get hammered, I do have a job to do afterall Wink
